About abby (she/her)
Abby is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Wisconsin License #8215-123). She holds endorsement as an Infant Mental Health Clinical Mentor® (IMH-E®), an internationally recognized credential that recognizes the proficiency and development of professionals who work with infants, toddlers, and their families. She is a nationally rostered Trauma-Informed Child Parent Psychotherapist (TI-CPP) and serves as a trainer in this model for the UW-Madison.
Abby completed a fellowship in 2015 in infant, early childhood, and family mental health. She is currently a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and serves as a mentor providing reflective consultation to fellows completing the Capstone Certificate Program.
Prior to opening Creating Space in 2020, Abby worked in a wide variety of non-profit agencies for over 15 years. She is a strong believer that every person should be able to have access to high quality healthcare and mental healthcare.
Abby is also passionate in providing individual and group reflective supervision and consultation to professionals and has done so for many leaders and teams across the state. She loves creating space for people to reflect on how who they are impacts their work and how people’s work impacts them.
Abby lives in Madison with her husband and two children. She loves being with family and friends, reading, hiking, cooking, practicing yoga, planning adventures, and watching her five silly backyard chickens.
